Inviting to a visit in Aramaic



These phrases are from the language of the Targum Onkelos ,the official language which would have been understood by speakers of many Aramaic dialects of the time.

Note that in Aramaic there is no polite plural form just like in English unlike many European languages which use the polite plural form.



וכל אנש ביתך עמך
Ve-khól enàsh bétakh imàkh
And every man of his house with you.
Every part of the family with you.
To a man.

וכל אנש ביתיך עמיך
Ve-khól enàsh bétikh imíkh.
To a woman.

וכל אנש בתכוך עמכוך
Ve-khól enàsh bétkhon imkhón
To many people.
